My sister’s son (10) bought this home from the shop yesterday

It’s chewing gum and it cost 5p for one.

I can’t believe that in this day and age of smoking bans and anti smoking campaigns they’re actually selling these to children.
My sister complained to the shop and they said they have a right to sell them.

They do have the right to sell them but I for one won’t be letting my children buy them and I hope all the parents in the area ban their children from buying them as well so that the shop won’t have a need to buy any more stock.

I know we had chocolate cigarettes when we were kids and nobody bothered but I did end up smoking from the age of 14 until I was 32 (I’m 36 now so I’ve been a non smoker for 4 years in June) and I’m not taking any chances with my children.
Pretend play might have had nothing to do with me smoking for real but even it didn’t, it may be a contributing factor for some children and it’s just not worth it.
If my children do start smoking it won’t be because I let them have pretend cigs when they were young.
